Welcome

We are thrilled to announce that we will be getting married on Sunday, March 26, 2017 in the city where we met and have begun building our life together, Washington DC! We are honored to have family and friends from around the world joining us to celebrate this joyous occasion.

Traveling can be hard, so we want to make it as convenient as possible for you to be with us on the big day. Accordingly, we've posted details about our wedding, tips for getting to the nation's capital, and links to reserve a hotel room at a group rate. Please also let us know if you have any questions at all!

Love,
Melissa & Rafi

Our Wedding

Note: Complimentary valet parking will be available at the St. Regis for the duration of the wedding ceremony and reception, as well as at the Renaissance for the after-party. Please tell the attendant you are there for our wedding.

We know most of you will be visiting DC from far away, and we hope you will enjoy some of our city's unique attractions while in town. The National Cherry Blossom Festival will be in full swing during our wedding weekend, which should make for a beautiful backdrop. And if the weather does not cooperate, Washington's many Smithsonian Institution museums, including the newly-opened National Museum of African American History and Culture, offer many hours of discovery, and admission is completely free. You can also immerse yourself in our nation's democratic institutions, such as by booking a tour of the U.S. Capitol, or visiting the Supreme Court. Washington is also home to many great local cultural and culinary attractions—there's something for everyone!

Getting to DC

Washington, DC is served by three airports: Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), Dulles International Airport (IAD), and Baltimore/Washington International Marshall Airport (BWI). DCA is just across the Potomac River from Downtown Washington, and has its own Metro station, while IAD and BWI are farther from the city (but also have mass transit links to Washington). Union Station is Washington's major Amtrak and commuter rail hub, with frequent service along the Northeast Corridor and regular service to other regions. Several major highways connect with the region, including Interstate 95.

Once in DC, we strongly recommend using mass transit to get around the downtown area. The Washington Metro is a major rail and bus public transit system that is useful for getting to most areas of the city. Taxi cabs are also plentiful.

Where to Stay

For your convenience, we have reserved room blocks at two hotels: the St. Regis, and the Renaissance Dupont Circle.
